Worship

We are a mid-sized congregation with a traditional Gothic sanctuary. We seek to be inclusive, desiring that the worship experience be meaningful to all generations and backgrounds, by offering God our best – the best of the old, the best of the new.

Service Times

Worship 10:30 a.m. to ~11:30
Children’s Church ~11 a.m. to 11:30/Nursery

~11:30 a.m. Fellowship Time
Wheelchair accessible

Our pastor, the worship team and choir lead us in the service of worship incorporating the magnificent Casavant organ, grand piano, guitar and other instruments.
We have a four-part choir (SATB) that presents at least one anthem per week, relevant to our worship. We use many different styles of music, always of good quality. In addition to the weekly anthems, the choir prepares and sings special music for the Christmas and Easter seasons. The Worship Team also contributes musically to services by leading the congregation in praise choruses.

Refreshments following our services are a chance to connect.

We share our facilities with Shiloh Baptist Church, which meets at 1 p.m. Their office is located next to Calvary’s and their phone number is 416-690-7059

Provision time is a weekly opportunity for any person to meet with others informally. At this time relationships are built through mutual sharing and caring, God is served in worship, and learning and equipping takes place, encouraging all to respond to shared visions for ministry and the employment of their gifts. The informal home and small group setting provides a context in which neighbour and friend can experience the Good News (God with us, God in us, God through us).

Prayer Walks

Since the spring of 2001, the members of St. Saviour’s Anglican and Calvary churches have prayed for God’s protection and blessings on our local vicinity. Each week, we concentrate our prayers on a specific block within our churches’ neighbourhood. While walking our requests are general in nature, unless a specific request by the homeowner has been made. The prayer walkers do not knock on doors or enter properties. It is not meant to solicit membership or funding. It is simply our desire to be good neighbours.

Prayer requests may be forwarded through the church e-mail or mail slot.
